The principle advantage of laser prints over giclée printing is its low cost and print speed.
Our Laser Prints, Greetings Cards, Business Cards, Postcards, Posters, Leaflets and Books are printed on our Xerox Versant 180 colour press using a 4-colour powder toner process.
The process has a restricted gamut and is subject to slight colour variability. It is relatively fade-free even in sunlight and delivers fantastic image quality using CMYK toners – which are recycled by returning to Xerox using their Eco-box Scheme. We can print up to 320mm x 640mm and have a range of paper stocks; recycled, locally milled and sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Higher Kings Mill have been making paper in Devon since 1757. All their finished products are 100% recyclable, made using recycled materials and sustainably sourced.
Antalis are a large paper distributor who have invested in environmental research and provide clarity and guidance on paper sustainability. They have developed the Green Star System so we can easily evaluate the environmental impact versus the cost of the products we use.

Higher Kings Mill (HKM)
315gsm 100% recycled card
This card has an off-white base colour and a pleasing texture, and is suitable for reproduction of watercolours or any work requiring a distinctive feel. This medium is popular for wedding stationery and books, particularly where an emphasis on recycling is desired.
This product is milled in Cullompton, Devon, only 100 miles from us.
We also stock this in its paper form – 170g
Silk – Novatech
350gsm FSC Mix
This coated card has a smooth surface texture and near-white base colour. It is popular in all applications and particularly where a conventional print finish is required. A good option if reproducing photographs.
Matt White – Edixion
350 gsm FSC Mix
This uncoated card has a matte surface texture and very white base colour. It is popular in all applications and particularly where a write-on surface is an advantage.
We also stock this in its paper form – 120g.
Invercote G*
300gsm – FSC Mix
Invercote is coated one side only and has a “not-quite smooth” surface texture. It is used in cases where it’s necessary to write on a reverse side. Despite being only 300gsm, it has a stiffer feel than some 350gsm cards.
Unfortunately, this card stock isn’t available to order through the website.
Nautilus SuperWhite
100% recycled – 120gsm
Sourced from Antalis, this 100% recycled, white paper is what we use for any standard paper printing – such as letter heads, documents and leaflets.

170gsm 100% recycled paper
This paper has an off-white base colour and a pleasing texture. It is popular for any paper printing that requires a distinctive feel, where an emphasis on recycling is desired.

Image Impact Plus
FSC Mix – 120gsm
This crispy white paper has a slight sheen, making it suited to book or magazine pages. As its name implies, it is particularly effective for photographs.
This paper isn’t available through the website. Please contact us via email if you are interested in this paper type.

With any Greeting Card or Postcard order we like to provide a hard copy proof included in the cost of your order before we go ahead and print. This will be posted out to you unless otherwise requested.
Greeting Cards Explained
We supply art and greeting cards in several standard sizes. Supplied scored, with envelopes and either recyclable cellophane packets, or for the more eco-choice, personalised sticker tabs to hold your card and envelope together.
Cards are printed edge-to-edge or with a border and you have a choice of four card stocks. If we are photographing and matching your original work for giclée prints, card set-up comes as part of the service. If you send us your images digitally we cannot guarantee accurate colours. If you would like your cards colours matched accurately for cards the you will need to use our Artwork Reproduction Service. This includes card setup!
We have 20 years of experience working with established artists already selling their work, as well as artists just starting out, providing three options for ordering cards depending on what you require from us.

If you’re new to producing cards and postcards we can set them up for you.
Our design fee is £12, including VAT. This includes:
- Photography/scanning if we have your original work
- Laying out images and text to your requirement
- Digital copies of your photographed work emailed to you on request
- Any information you want on the back of your card in a font of your choice.
- We’ll send you a proof, after this additional changes are charged at our design rate of £40 per hour

We see postcards, business cards, posters and flyers as just different sized laser prints on different card stocks.
We have these standard sizes of laser print available, single or double sided: SRA3, A3, A4, A5, A6 and Business Cards. We don’t charge any more for double sided printing!
Requirements for your Print Ready File
Files must be 300dpi
Must be a jpeg or pdf – titled with your name
If your design is double-sided please upload 2 files
If you require a border your file this must be setup as such
If your design is full bleed make sure there is no important content near the edge of your image.
